OSHA Announces Committee on Construction Safety and Health

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is planning to conduct a meeting in Washington DC for the advisory committee on construction safety and health in December 2013. The committee was established under the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act and Occupational Safety and Health Act. It is tasked with advising the secretary of labor on occupational safety, health, construction standards, as well as matters related to policies.

The agenda consists of remarks from the assistant secretary of labor, updates from the directorates of construction and standards, and a presentation on the standard occupational exposure to beryllium. The public can give their recommendations regarding general safety and guidelines as well.

Role of OSHA
